Receipt Pilot is designed as a privacy-conscious receipt and expense organizer. This policy explains what information the app may process and how it is used.

Summary: Receipt Pilot helps you scan, organize, and manage receipts. The app is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and keep your receipt library under your control.
Information you add to the app
Receipt Pilot may store information you choose to enter or scan, such as receipt images, merchant names, dates, totals, currencies, categories, notes, trip names, expense details, and related metadata.
Scanning and receipt intelligence
The app may use your device camera, photo library, optical character recognition, image metadata, and receipt text to extract useful receipt fields. Some app features may use on-device intelligence when available. If optional cloud processing is used for receipt extraction or debugging, the app should present this clearly and use the information only to provide or improve the requested receipt feature.
Location and trip context
If you allow location-related features, Receipt Pilot may use location signals or image metadata to help infer country, currency, or trip context. You can control device permissions through your operating system settings.
Diagnostics and support
If you contact support or submit diagnostic information, we may receive the details you choose to provide, such as screenshots, device information, app version, error details, or redacted receipt debug information. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless necessary for support.
How information is used
- To scan, parse, organize, edit, and display receipts.
- To help assign receipts to trips and categories.
- To troubleshoot bugs and improve receipt extraction quality.
- To respond to support requests.
Data storage and deletion
Receipt Pilot may store app data locally on your device. Deleting receipts inside the app removes them from the app’s receipt list. Deleting the app may remove local app data from your device. Export or back up important information before uninstalling.
Third-party services
Receipt Pilot may rely on platform services such as Apple or Google device features, app store services, or optional backend services needed to provide app functionality. These services may process data according to their own privacy terms.
Children’s privacy
Receipt Pilot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Receipt Pilot evolves. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
